Education for him has always been a component of larger goal of equipping students with greater human values and academic expertise.Sh.Atul Mahajan did his Post Graduation from Punjab University, Chandigarh. In 1997 completed his M.Ed. from Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla. He has to his credit PG Diploma in Business Management and in Personnel Management from Management studies Promotion Institute, New Delhi and DAV College of Management and Administration New Delhi respectively.
From Sep. 1992 - Apr1994 appointed as the Founder Director Principal of D.A.V's first forein project school, D.A.V R.B Kedia school, Birganj, Nepal. Due to his zeal he had the priviledge of being the Head of Commerce Dept in D.A.V Sen.Sec.School Sec-8C Chandigarh. from 1994-2009. A firm believer in education as an instrument of realizationof human potentialities,appointed as Principal at D.A.V Centenary Public School Una, the biggest CBSE affiliated Public School in the stateof Himachal Pradesh from 2009 till date.
Under his stewardhip the school strength has increased from 2198 to 2650 students. The students have shown excellent academic results and have excelled in sports also.
On the auspicious occasion of Teachers Day, honoured by the prestigious award of 'Best Principal' in the Region by Sh. Virender Kanwar chief Parliamentary secretary. Govt. of Himachal Pradesh He was honoured by Ms. Sarveen Chaudhary Minister of Environment and Social Justice, Govt. of H.P at State Level Republic Day Function at una for outstanding work in the field of Education and Environment.In New Delhi awarded by Avantika Group for promoting co-curricular activities, art and Drawing in the school. In recognition of his relentless efforts in the field of education, he was honoured by 'The Rotary Club, Una on 5th Aug.2012 for excelling in Co-curricular activities as 'Best Educationist'
